Seymour's Auction House
Everyone PLEASE remember-your animals need to breath!
Here are some guidelines when preparing to bring animals to auction:
  • Please make sure you make enough air holes when packing animals in boxes and do not put too
many in each box.  You should allow 1 square foot of space per animal.   Animals WILL DIE if
packaged too tightly or without enough air.
  • When bringing animals in plastic crates, add pine shavings or some other type of medium to absorb
urine.  Smelly, wet animals do not sell well.
  • If packaging in boxes it will save a lot of time at check-in if the contents (count, sex of the animal,
breed, etc.) are marked on the outside of the boxes.  Be prepared to provide a count of any
    unmarked cages.
  • Also, please do not bring any animals that have not been weaned from their mothers.  Piglets must
be no younger than 6 weeks old.  Babies must be proven to be weaned or bottle fed.
